1/4" thick, smooth masonite bats are lightweight yet strong. 3/8" holes are pre-drilled with 10” spacing.
In order to extend the life of your Masonite bat, proper care is very important. This applies to all wood-sources bats.
-- Do not soak this bat in water -- this will cause the fibers to swell, which can warp the bat.
-- We recommend cleaning your Masonite bats after each use.
-- Do not keep this bat wet for long periods of time -- while Masonite bats are great for throwing and even short-term storage of vessels, placing wet work on them for extended periods can promote fiber swelling and warping.
-- Do not flex your Masonite bats while they are wet -- wet fibers are more pliable in this state, and can lead to irreversible warpage.

1. Clean them after each use.
2. Avoid keeping them wet for long periods of time and avoid bending them when they are wet.
3. Warped bats can usually be flattened by drying them in a stack with a weight on them.
***Perfect Fit of your Inserts (taken from the manufacturer):
The final fit of the inserts is determined by the users personal preference. Inserts can absorb moisture and change dimensions slightly. The inserts are cut to fit tightly but you may wish to lightly sand edges for increased side to side play. Do occasional fit checks while you are sanding and after regular use on the wheel. After using the system several times, the wood will "settle in" and minimal changes to the dimensions of the inserts will occur.
